The 1st Film Olympiad annual event is taking place on 30 April – 8 May 2022, with six qualifying Film Olympiad Grand Prix competitions that took place from June 2021 to February 2022, preceding our annual competition.

In less than a year, 370 films from 62 countries competed in this inaugural edition of Film Olympiad, believing in the vision of slightly more unique International Film Festival format. Film Olympiad thanks all these filmmakers for their passion and hopes to develop soon to the highest possible level in order to promote and showcase their work in the best imaginable way.

100 of the best films from these six Grand Prix, are in contention for the 1st Film Olympiad – Best Film Gold Medal, and Gold, Silver & Bronze medals in 30 categories. The selection was in most cases extremely difficult, with especially the last one-two spots in each category, having usually six or seven almost equally worthy contenders.
