We are proud of all our filmmakers and nominees, but a special mention must be made for two. Christian Nielsen, writer of the lyrics of the music video “I Am a Very Special Being” was our first ever nominee with autism, in the “Best Message” category. Robert Tarango, the first-ever DeafBlind actor to be featured in a film, was nominated in the “Best Supporting actor” category ending up winning the Gold Medal in his category!
Their tremendous efforts inspire us and we congratulate them along with the rest of our nominees and winners!
