How can I submit my film?

Submissions are open via FilmFreeWay or Festhome. Films must be submitted via online screener.

Do you have public screenings with live audience?

8 films (at least) from each bi-monthly Film Olympiad Grand Prix will be screened publicly with live audience in our partners’ venues. 32 films (at least) from the annual Film Olympiad will be also screened with live audience. We estimate a total of at least 60 films per year.

Can I submit more than one film?

Yes, you certainly can. If you plan to submit two films or more send us an email so we can include your films in different Film Olympiad Grand Prix if you wish so.

For production companies which wish to submit a bundle of over ten films, we have an extra discount.

Do you have any Premiere requirements?

No we don’t have any Premiere requirements. Any film which has been completed in the last 4 years, before the respective Film Olympiad Grand Prix event, can participate regardless of whether it has been shown online or at a public screening, in Greece or elsewhere.

That being said, we will make sure to acknowledge any films which might honour us with their World, European or Greek Premiere.

When is the submission deadline?

The submissions are on-going permanently. This means that even if a deadline is passed, your film will be considered for the immediately next Film Olympiad Grand Prix event.

Inside tip: Like most festival submitters with experience will tell you, submit early.

What are Film Olympiad policies regarding refunds?

Submission fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. We believe that Film Olympiad offers great benefits for really low fees comparing to most film festivals.

Can I submit a rough cut?

Yes, you can provided that it has at least a complete form as far as subtitles, credits, etc. Please let us know if your film is a rough cut. If your film is selected for Grand Prix we will project your submitted version. If your film qualifies to the annual Film Olympiad, you will be required to supply an exhibition copy of the final cut of your film.

When should I expect a reply or result?

Most films get not only a reply but also their rating, in less that two months since their submission. This is one of the great benefits of our Film Olympiad’s format.
