13th Film Olympiad Grand Prix Results

The 13th Film Olympiad is officially over!

In an exciting weekend at the Cine Paradeisos of Korydallos, Athens, the Live Screening success wasn't the fully packed cinema - but the fact that dozens of people remained standing, enjoying the passion and artistry of our films.


🥇🇮🇹 Dovecote (Italy) by Marco Perego, starring Zoe Saldana became the first Italian film to receive the Best Film Gold! It also received the Best Director and Leading Actress awards, among others - with Mr. Perego and Ms. Saldana becoming the first spouses duo winning two Gold Medals.

🥇🥈🇪🇸 Paris 70 (Spain) by Dani Feixas Roca, received the People's Choice Gold and the Best Film Silver, in two absolute thrillers, with only two votes difference in each occasion. Among other awards, it also receives Best Promising Director and Best Leading Actor (Alain Hernandez).

🥉🇫🇮 Nun or Never! (Finland) by Heta Jaalinoja, won the Best Film Bronze, along with Best Animation Gold, proving once more that Film Olympiad strongly embraces all types of films.

🥈🇮🇹 Amina (Italy) by Serena Tondo, was the biggest positive surprise, since after qualifying for the Final screening day, it almost won the People's Choice award, ending with just two votes behind, out of 200 !!

🥉🇬🇷 Blue Sunday (Greece) by Gogo Marangouli, came third at the People's Choice voting, also receiving the Best Greek Film Gold. The actresses of the film were present in a most interesting discussion with our audience, with Elli Tringou receiving the Leading Actress Bronze as well.

Special stats


The 13th Film Olympiad Grand Prix featured a total of 95 films from 27 countries. It was the first ever participation of a film from Honduras (Persephone - by Jurek Jablonicky).
