The Film Olympiad Gold Standard:
Our Positive Behavior Policy
As we approach the high-intensity period of each Film Olympiad event, we wish every volunteer, filmmaker, and guest to have a positive and historic experience. To ensure our "Olympiad for Filmmakers" prestige remains untarnished, we follow a behavior policy to foster an environment of excellence.
1. Our Aims: Setting the Stage
We don’t just want things to run; we want them to flourish. Our goals for behavior are:
To create an environment that actively encourages and supports great conduct.
To promote self-esteem and positive relationships among the volunteer family and our global guests.
To ensure consistency in how we respond to every situation, whether it’s a logistics win or a stressful deadline.
2. Our Virtues
The Backbone of the Grand Prix
Honesty: Be transparent. Our festival is built on the unique promise of sharing jury feedback with everyone—let that spirit of honesty guide your interactions.
Respect: You are dealing with everyone from "promising talents" to Oscar-winning icons. Treat every interaction with the prestige the "Olympiad" name demands.
Consideration: Be mindful of the high stakes filmmakers feel during the Grand Prix. A little consideration goes a long way in making them feel "looked after".
Responsibility: Take ownership of your track, whether it’s merchandise, transportation, or social media. Responsibility is the difference between a participant and a champion.
3. Standards as Goals
In our pursuit of the "Gold Medal" of behavior, we view these standards as goals to be worked towards. We expect our volunteers to lead by example, encouraging everyone to follow this policy.
