Film Olympiad announces developments in two of its Major Award Categories!

Starting from the 10th Film Olympiad Grand Prix, Film Olympiad has two important changes in two of its 30 award categories.

Best Music/Dance Video Film

Originally named as Best Music Video Film, our team has decided to expand the name in order to welcome and provide recognition to many inspiring artistic films from choreographers and dancers. The category will be from now on even more competitive and we are looking forward to more Music or Dance video films participating in the Film Olympiad – since this is genre that we respect and love, with many films having achieved great results, and received numerous accolades by the Film Olympiad.

Best Human Rights Film “Niki Diamantakou”

Niki Diamantakou Rodopoulou was a warm, creative and inspiring member of our community – and in the past year dedicated her energy as an active member of the Film Olympiad team. Niki, tragically and unexpectedly, lost her life on 16th May, in a period when we were planning together to implement many developments in the Film Olympiad. However, her passion and spirit remain eternal in our minds.

In order to honour her memory and her life-long efforts in supporting Human Rights, this category is renamed as Best Human Rights Film “Niki Diamantakou”, for all the Film Olympiad events in 2024. These are the 10th, 11th & 12 Film Olympiad Grand Prix and the 2nd Film Olympiad – Superfinal.
